Great selection of oysters. It's across from Gainbridge. Parking is limited to the garage next door or a lot a block k away. A little inconvenient but worth the hassle.

Pier 48's five-year anniversary was the perfect occasion to stop by, and it didn't disappoint! I sat at the bar, which had a great vibe, and ordered a variety of appetizers and drinks. The sweet and spicy margarita was absolutely delicious--just the right balance of flavors that kept me coming back for more. The mule was decent, but the margarita definitely stole the show. The appetizers were also spot-on, making for a memorable dining experience. Pier 48 continues to be a solid spot for good food, drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere!

3rd time here & the chargrilled oysters is what brought me back! Had no idea that they validate parking for utilizing the Hyatt garage, this is BIG because you know with being across the street from Gainbridge, parking is scarce. It makes me so sad to walk into an establishment only to see maybe two other occupied tables. It has been like this every time I've come & it's always on a weekend at different times, so I'm truly confused. The food is full of flavor & great quality so you know you'll spend a pretty penny if you love to eat and drink like I do. The chargrilled oysters were so freaking good but noticeably smaller I mentioned it to my server & told him the flavor is undeniable but they're so small, as soon as you put it in your mouth the excitement is over. The manager came over to explain they can't dictate the size, which I understand but I almost think they would have been bigger if they weren't a tad overcooked and shrank. Anywho, my sidecar was good & I love that it was served in a martini glass as opposed to the coupe glass. The jumbo lump crab cakes are the closest in flavor & texture I can compare to what I've had in Maryland/DC All in all was a good experience, per usual.

This restaurant was nice to do some downtown patio eating. Our server was very nice and made sure we were taken care of. There were food runners/other servers that weren't so pleasant but we brushed it off. The clam chowder was not what I expected. It tasted more like a cheesy potato soup than a New England clam chowder. Parking isn't the best if you do not valet your car. There was a valet option at check in. Not in any hurry to revisit the restaurant.

My daughter and I came in for lunch today in celebration of my birthday. We were seated right away by our server, Taylor, who welcomed us warmly and explained the specials. Unfortunately, the Tuesday Surf & Turf special was unavailable. Taylor explained that even the vendor, Cisco, was out of the necessary ingredients for them to reorder them. There were only a couple of other tables occupied, and there was a nice, chill vibe for our lunch. We had the fried calamari for starters and I also ordered a blueberry lemon drop spritz. I was told that it would taste mostly like champagne, but it was actually pretty vodka-heavy. The fried calamari with the boom boom sauce was delicious, but the fra diavolo sauce wasn't as described. We were told that it was a spicy cocktail sauce, so we imagined something like the St. Elmos's cocktail sauce. What it turned out to be was a slightly spicy marinara... not the same thing, at all. For our mains, I ordered the Bourbon-glazed salmon with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I can't tell you where the Bourbon came in because the salmon was drowned in sweet chili sauce. I should've ordered that on the side. My daughter ordered the 1/2 lb whole live lobster with Brussels sprouts and parmesan truffle fries. She said that the fries tasted burnt, so she didn't eat them or take them with her. In contrast, she felt that the sprouts weren't crispy enough! I enjoyed them. All in all, the service was great and so was the atmosphere. I'll definitively return to try the boom boom shrimp, hot lobster roll and candied pork belly!

First time at Pier 48 and will define back! We visited during Devour Indy and enjoyed 3 courses for 35$ a person. Crab beignets were the best crab cake item I've ever tasted! I feel like they are more of a crab Rangoon than crab patty, but I don't care, they are phenomenal! The spinach dip was pretty good. But I'm coming back for the crab beignets! Next I had the lemon mustard chicken which was also served with green beans and potatoes. The portion of chicken was huge! I had two large pieces that I happily shared with my husband. The chicken was crispy and paired nicely with both veggies. Butter cake finished our meals. I would like a little more sugar in the butter cake to take it from a corn bread flavor to a sweet cake. I love cake without icing though so it was a good pick for me.
